Meet Megan
A Grief and After-Loss Educator, Author, & Speaker
Hi, I’m Megan.
Hi, I’m Megan Malick—Grief and After-Loss Mentor, Author, and Speaker.
I support heart-led Gen-Xers and Millennials who are navigating the invisible labor of life, loss, and legacy. My work weaves together emotional support, practical guidance, and spiritual wisdom for those managing end-of-life conversations, settling estates, or holding roles like Power of Attorney or Executor.
I didn’t arrive here by accident—but it wasn’t exactly planned either.
My background as a middle school English teacher, pastor, and licensed psychotherapist, and Brainspotting therapist gave me a deep well of tools to draw from—storytelling, systems thinking, spiritual care, and emotional attunement. But no certification prepared me for the day I opened the email that would change my life—and launch me into the sacred responsibility of settling both my parents’ estates.
That experience didn’t just teach me new skills—it revealed a new calling.

It’s not my degrees that make this work meaningful.
It’s the lived experience. The grief. The paperwork. The sacred logistics.
And the knowing that no one should have to walk this path alone.
Learn More About Megan
My path began as a middle school English teacher, where I learned the power of listening and empathy and honed a deep curiosity about the power of story and voice. Ministry allowed me to experience various roles, including directing youth ministry, hospital chaplaincy, congregational ministry, premarital counseling, and officiating weddings for those who seek spirituality in unconventional ways. To better serve my community, I pursued a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy. These experiences allowed me to deepen my expertise in family systems and relational therapy.
As a lifelong lover of learning, you can read about the certifications and training I pursued. As a 1 / 3 Splenic-Project according to Human Design, my passion is learning from experience, diving deep, and guiding others through life’s twists, turns, and systems. I believe deeply in the healing power of relationships and that the paperwork for end-of-life, emergency, and legacy planning is meaningful (and Sacred).
