Work With Me — Brainspotting
You can name it.
You just can't
drop in alone.
You know exactly what's happening. You can describe it, name it, trace its edges. And still — you keep getting caught in the logic of it, circling the surface. That's not failure. That's just how we're wired. We weren't meant to drop in alone.
We need a witness. A journeymate. A co-regulator — someone to hold space, reflect back, and help unlock what's already inside you. I'm no guru, and I'm not here to fix you. I'm here to journey with you. (And yes, I sometimes call my Brainspotting pointer a magic wand. Because honestly? It kind of is.)
Is This For You
Something in you
already knows.
You probably didn't land here by accident. Something — a nudge, a restlessness, a quiet knowing that you've been carrying something too long alone — brought you here. That counts for something.
This work is for people who are somewhere in the middle of their own story. Not broken. Not finished. Just navigating the tender, sometimes disorienting space between who you were and who you're becoming.
- You've outgrown who you were but haven't fully arrived as who you're becoming
- You can name what's in the way — and still can't seem to move it
- You're carrying grief — for a person, a version of yourself, a life that changed
- Your body holds something your mind keeps trying to logic away
- You're building something meaningful and it's heavier than you expected
- You want depth, not just symptom relief — soul, not just strategy
- You're ready to stop going it alone
"You don't need someone to fix you or a map to follow. You need a companion who knows the woods — and understands that your path is entirely your own."
What looks like stuckness is often something else entirely — grief that hasn't had a witness, a transition that didn't get its ceremony, a part of you that's been waiting patiently to be heard. Brainspotting doesn't push or pull. It creates the conditions for what's already inside you to move.
You are your own best expert. I'm just here to help you remember that.
What Brainspotting Opens
Transition & becoming —
a portal to recovery & healing
Brainspotting connects your visual field with your internal experience — reaching the subcortical brain where implicit memories, stored emotions, and creative potential actually live. Where thinking stops, this begins. Where you look affects how you feel — and when we find the right spot, something that's been lodged can finally start to move.
Transition & Becoming
When the life you're living no longer fits the person you're becoming. Finding footing in the in-between — with more grace, self-trust, and room to breathe.
Grief & Loss
For the losses that don't have funerals — and the ones that do. The identity shed, the relationship changed, the person left behind at a threshold. Grief needs a witness. This is that space.
Recovery & Healing
Finding your way back to yourself after what broke you open — integrating what was lost, what was learned, and what is quietly, stubbornly becoming possible again.
Creativity & Vision
Brainspotting touches the midbrain — the seat of imagination and inner knowing. Many people find their creative life opens in directions they didn't expect.
Spirituality & Soul
Reconnecting with sacred direction, intuition, and the deeper "why" beneath your path. Less noise. More of what actually matters to you.
Business & Presence
Clearing the embodied blocks that limit your capacity, visibility, and creative output. The emotional weight of building something that matters — held and honored here.
How We Work Together
Brainspotting is the
thread through everything
Brainspotting is always the foundation — the way in. From there, our work can draw on other embodied and soulful practices depending on what's alive for you, what arises in the room, and what your nervous system is ready for. We follow what calls, not a script.
Guided Meditation & Visualization
Deepening access to inner knowing through somatic and imaginal spaces — particularly useful for creative visioning, spiritual exploration, and nervous system settling.
Parts-Informed Work
Befriending the inner voices, protectors, and younger selves that carry your history — moving toward wholeness by welcoming rather than fighting what arises.
Intuitive Journaling
Writing not to analyze, but to access. Used between and within sessions to follow the breadcrumbs your body and brain are already leaving.
Tarot
A contemplative, symbolic language that speaks to the unconscious — not fortune-telling, but a way of surfacing what already knows and is waiting to be named.
Reiki
Energy-based support that works in harmony with the nervous system — gentle, grounding, and often deeply clarifying alongside Brainspotting work.
Sand Tray
A somatic and symbolic practice that lets the psyche express what words can't hold — powerful for grief, identity work, and the kind of creative exploration that happens below language.
For Soul-o-preneurs
Navigating Life,
Legacy, & Business
You didn't build your business to follow someone else's rulebook. You built it from your heart — from values, from vision, from a deep sense of calling. You lead with intuition. You hold space for others in quiet, often invisible ways.
And yet — when you are in transition, who holds space for you?
"What do you do for your business… and who helps you do that?" — A question I keep hearing from soulful business owners
That question lit something up in me. It called me to honor the invisible labor behind running a values-driven business — and helped me see that my work with grief, nervous system regulation, and meaning-making could extend to legacy, leadership, and yes, the logistics too.
You might be a Soul-O-Preneur if you...
- Crave deep alignment between your work and your life
- Flow with nature's rhythm — not hustle culture
- Create from a place of care, meaning, and wholeness
- Feel weighed down by systems that don't fit your way of being
- Value personhood just as much as profit
You might find yourself at a tender threshold
- Business transition, shift in roles or offerings
- Burnout, decision fatigue, or a health crisis
- Grief or caregiving that touches your business
- Avoidance of legacy, planning, or the paperwork pile
- Feeling "stuck" and spinning despite all your effort
"I expected a checklist. Instead, I found clarity, care, and a human experience that honored the heart of my business." — Heike Martin, Heike Martin Photography
Personal · Professional · Practical · Emotional
We start inside
and make the way
by walking it together
Here's what I've learned: the practical stuff doesn't work when it skips the inner work. And the inner work doesn't stick unless it gets grounded somewhere real. So we do both — together, in the right order.
We begin by listening. Brainspotting helps clear and illuminate the path — releasing what's stored, making room for what wants to come. Then, from that clearer place, we build the structures and rhythms that actually fit who you are.
Your "standard operating procedures" become a self-care guide written from the inside out. Your communications become love letters. Your contingency plan becomes something born not from fear — but from knowing yourself well enough to plan from the heart.

01
Listen & Clear
Brainspotting illuminates the path — clearing emotional residue, nervous system patterns, and the grief or fear that's blocking forward movement.
-
02
Walk It Together
We make the way by walking — following what arises, not a script. You are the expert on your own life. I hold the space and witness the unfolding.
-
03
Build What Fits You
We co-create the processes, rhythms, and structures that support you — systems that emerge from your values, not someone else's template.

Legacy & Love Letters
Communications, contingency plans, legacy documents — designed from the heart, so your soul is present in even the most practical parts of your work and life.
From Inner Work to Contingency Plan
I know that might sound like a strange leap. But I've watched it happen again and again — what begins as emotional clearing becomes the foundation for the most grounded, authentic business decisions a person has ever made. The inner and outer aren't separate. They never were.
The Work
A sustained container
alongside your life
This isn't a fix-it-in-five-sessions situation. Real change — the kind that shifts how you move through the world — needs time, repetition, and safety. It needs a container that can hold all of it: the hard days, the breakthroughs, the ordinary in-between.
So this is a committed, evolving relationship. Typically 6–9 months. Room to go slowly when you need to, and to follow what's alive when it arrives.
- Typically a 6–9 month engagement
- Sessions held virtually or in person (Lancaster, PA)
- Tailored to where you are — not a fixed protocol
- Multiple modalities woven in as your process opens
- Collaborative and relational — we follow what arises
- Space for grief, creativity, spirituality, and all of it at once
Ready to Begin?
Or just a little curiousThe first step is simply a conversation. Whether you know this is exactly right for you, or you're just sensing that something needs to shift — you're welcome to reach out. We'll talk about where you are, what you're carrying, and whether this feels like a good fit.
No pressure. No pitch. Just a real conversation.

When language
wasn't enough
I came to Brainspotting the way a lot of people come to the things that change them — through the side door of my own grief. After my parents died, something strange happened. I'd spent nearly 30 years learning to know myself — refining the art of noticing what I needed, thought, and felt. But in the raw aftermath of loss, that inner compass went dark.
Words, which had always been my home, weren't big enough. I was a therapist, a writer, a lifelong meaning-maker. And I couldn't find language for any of it.
"The sense of panic-fear jolted me. After decades of inner work, I had no clue — what I could or couldn't do; what I did or did not need; what I thought or felt. I was five. No, I was 45. Or I don't know."
That's when Brainspotting became more than a tool I was training in. It became a lifeline. One session shifted something foundational — moved me from curious practitioner to full believer in its mysterious capacity to unlock the healing that already lives inside us.
I don't come to this work from a textbook. I come to it from the woods. I know what it's like to be lost in them. And I've learned — you don't have to find your way out alone.
"I wanted to share about a beautiful experience I had with my friend Megan Marie Malick. For the longest time, I’ve been looking for someone I could work with that incorporates therapy as well as a variety of healing techniques. I came to her with feelings of stress, not a lot of capacity, and old wounds circling back. I went to her session open- not really sure of what it would look like. From the moment that I walked in, she started to listen and made the space for me to open, and share openly and honestly."Credentials

Where We Meet
Virtually, or in person in Lancaster, PA — woven into a 6–9 month container alongside complementary embodied practices.
What to Expect
Your first
session
There's no one right way to experience Brainspotting. Some people process silently. Others talk throughout. Most do both, depending on the day. You're free to follow your own rhythm — because that's exactly the point.
Set an intention
A theme, an emotion, a physical sensation — or simply arriving open. You don't need to know what you're looking for yet.
Find the brainspot
I'll gently guide you toward a gaze position that feels connected to what you're noticing in your body. (Yes, this is where the magic wand comes out.)
Tune in & process
Your body and nervous system lead. Emotions, sensations, memories, insights — or simply stillness — arise. There's nothing you need to make happen.
Integration keeps going
Processing continues after the session. Your brain and body keep doing their quiet, beautiful work between our meetings. Trust it.
What might you feel?
Every experience is different. Some common ones:
- Emotional release — tears, laughter, a long exhale
- Warmth, tingling, or sensations shifting
- A stillness that feels different from numbness
- Memories surfacing — gently, not urgently
- Clarity arriving after discomfort
- Quiet shifts in the days that follow
- Creative sparks or unexpected spiritual openings
- The sense that something that was stuck has moved
Whatever arises is valid. You are your own best expert. Always.
